In a couple of recent episodes of The Edtech Podcast, I alluded to work being done by the UK Government on the opportunity of edtech from an educational and business point of view.

SXSWedu® Conference & Festival and The Edtech Podcast today announce their media partnership to promote the best in education innovation to a global community.

The Education World Forum, Education Innovation Conference and Bett, were all in town. That meant over 30 hours of interview recordings, plus international collaboration meetings.

2016 was quite a momentous year for me. It was the year I quit my job, and launched a podcast. What have I learnt from the experience?

This post is long overdue, but with a postal strike as a perfect excuse (in the UK at least) plus a ready number of Kaizen just-in-time shoppers out there, it may not be too late to browse through this list of stocking fillers for those with a penchant for edtech.

In October I was one of 2000 media types at Websummit 2016. Websummit is billed as “Europe’s Largest Technology Marketplace”, with 53,056 people from 166 countries in attendance. Speakers included Sean Rad (great name), Co-Founder & CEO, Tinder, Roberto Azevêdh, Director-General, World Trade Organization and Gary Vaynerchuk, Founder & CEO, VaynerMedia, but I took the trip out to Websummit to uncover what was happening in education.
