Since its launch, The EdTech Podcast has quickly developed into the world’s leading podcast on EdTech, downloaded c.2000 times each month from 145 countries in total, and guiding an audience consisting of global education leaders, startups, learning and development specialists, blue-chips, investors, government and media.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, The EdTech Podcast celebrated a 250-episode milestone, reaching 40k downloads a month as listeners grappled with all things remote learning and working.

The host of The EdTech Podcast is Philippa Wraithmell, award-winning educational leader, digital strategist and author of The Digital Ecosystem.
Philippa has held senior leadership roles in schools across the UK and UAE, driving innovation in STEAM, Design Technology, and Computer Science. She has worked with leading private schools and multi-academy trusts, mentoring educators and developing bespoke digital strategies that embed technology meaningfully into learning.
Beyond schools, Philippa leads the development of digital governance, safeguarding, and ethical, inclusive, and responsible AI frameworks with governments and multilateral organisations, supporting national and regional policy design and implementation for sustainable digital transformation.
She also works in partnership with Apple, Microsoft, Canva, and Meta, and advises EdTech companies such as Renaissance Education, Toddle, and The National College. Her role focuses on ensuring innovation aligns with schools’ needs, supports student learning, and addresses regional priorities like interoperability, localisation, and wellbeing.
